Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study
Harvard University
To sustain the remarkable legacy of Lisa Goldberg, the Charles H. Revson Foundation established in 2008 the Lisa Goldberg Fellowship in the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, at Harvard University. The Institute is a scholarly community where individuals pursue advanced work across a wide range of academic disciplines, professions, and creative arts. Within this expansive purpose, the Institute sustains a continuing commitment to the study of women, gender, and society.
Lisa Goldberg's intellectual, political, and cultural interests were broad and vibrant. To honor her memory, the Lisa Goldberg Fellowship in the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study will support an equally broad range of promising fellows, especially those at the earlier stages of their careers. The Fellowship will be awarded to a scholar, professional, or artist whose work recognizes Lisa's commitments to civil, individual, and women's rights, equality and justice, as well as the policies that shape them and including legal theory and practice; Jewish and Israel studies; and creative efforts of individuals in the arts, particularly writers of fiction. In this way, Lisa Goldberg will be honored in each succeeding year by outstanding individuals whose informing ideas, diverse research, and creative work reflect her encompassing brilliance and enduring influence.
