What kind of projects do you fund?
The Revson Foundation makes grants in four program areas: Urban Affairs: New York City; Jewish Philanthropy and Education; Biomedical Research; and Education. For examples of current grants, please see specific program areas.

What do you NOT fund?
The Revson Foundation does not generally support individuals; film projects; endowments; capital or building campaigns; fundraising dinner events; and national or local health appeals.

What are your deadlines?

  • Phase I: The evaluation of letters of inquiry is ongoing throughout the year.
  • Phase II: Proposals invited for consideration by the Foundation are often developed for months in advance of Board meetings, which take place two to three times a year.

How do I apply for a grant?

What percentage of proposals receive Revson Foundation support?
A very small percentage of proposals are funded.

What is the range of grant awards?
The grant award depends on the nature of the project. Please see examples under specific program areas.

Does the Revson Foundation award multi-year funding?
Yes, depending on the project.

Our letter of inquiry was declined. May we re-submit?
Organizations should not submit a letter of inquiry for the same project.

How do I make specific inquiries of Revson Foundation staff?
Please send your inquiries to info@revsonfoundation.org; they will be directed to the appropriate staff member. We regret that, given our small staff, we are unable to hold informational meetings with prospective grantees.
