Charles H. Revson Senior Fellowships in Biomedical Science

Dr. Matthieu Cavey, Revson Fellow 2011 - 2013The two-year Charles H. Revson Senior Fellowships in Biomedical Science are awarded annually to six outstanding New York City scientists entering their third or fourth year of postdoctoral research.

Although private and governmental agencies offer two or three years of support for postdoctoral training, funding for the third and fourth years of training is rare. In 1981, the Foundation established its flagship fellowship program to help address the need for funding in these critical years, when postdoctoral fellows are finishing their initial projects and establishing themselves as independent researchers.

The fellowship is open to candidates who have completed at least two years of postdoctoral research at one of the following institutions:

  • Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University
  • Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
  • Columbia University Medical Center
  • Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center
  • Mount Sinai School of Medicine
  • New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
  • New York University School of Medicine
  • Rockefeller University
  • Weill Cornell Medical College

With Revson’s Weizmann Fellows, the Charles H. Revson Senior Fellows attend an annual meeting and dinner in New York City, featuring a distinguished keynote speaker, during which they have the opportunity to meet and present their work to one another and to Revson staff and board members.
